Stud Piloted Wheels

Stud-Piloted wheels
Inner Cap nuts are used to locate inner dual
Chamfered bolt holes identify a stud-piloted wheel
Cross section of typical dual assembly with stud-piloted wheels.(Both the right and left hand threads).

Standard mounting system in industry
Inner dual secured independently
Doesn't require lubrication


Hub Piloted Wheels

Hub-Piloted wheels use two-piece flange nuts.
Non-chamfered bolt holes identify a hub-piloted wheel.
Cross section of typical dual assembly with hub-piloted wheels. (Right hand threads only).

Benefits:

Elimination of bolt hole chamfer wear
Greater clamping force for a given torque
Reduction in nut wear and nut replacement
Elimination of left hand threaded hardware
More consistent nut torque retention
Elimination of inner cap nuts
